This is what happens when a gorgeous American couple, book The Elvetham Hotel Wedding Venue. Throw the rule book in the bin and do things their own way. Elena and Damien booked the gorgeous venue for 3 days, even accommodating their guests in yurts on their own campsite. The day started with a sporting event, yes sporting! Elena and Damien had organised a Wedding Olympics event to start the day, with all guests taking part. The games varied from relay races, face painting and space hopper sprints. It was something amazing to see, only hours before their wedding ceremony.
Elena and Damien both started to get ready a few hours later for their gorgeous outdoor ceremony. They both got ready in rooms next door to each other in the company of any friends and family who wanted to join them. The more colourful the outfit the better. Damien had opted for an awesome blue suit with a bright yellow waistcoat. Whilst Elena had opted for a stunning outfit with white trousers and top, paired with an amazing tie dye skirt.
The ceremony begun with Elena and Damien being led in to their ceremony by a German marching band. Their wedding party followed behind, dancing of course! As the summer sun beat down on the ceremony, the guests watched on as Elena and Damien exchanged their own vows and had their first kiss. Before walking back up the aisle to lead their wedding party to a stunning drinks reception. The stunningly setup marquee was perfectly placed with the Elvetham hotel in the background. Whilst guests enjoyed bubbles in the setting sun, I grabbed some family portraits before speeches started. The relaxed vibe continued through speeches with everyone casually stood watching outside, obviously taking in the emotional, funny and of course happy words spoken.
A very relaxed wedding breakfast was served, during this time we sneaked off to shoot some couple portraits. Elena and Damien were so easy and fun to work with. We arrived back for another quick speech by them both and first dance, followed by an amazing party!
