Low Wood Bay Hotel Wedding, Ambleside, Windermere Wedding Photographer

James & Felicity

James and Fliss got married in the stunning Lake district at the beautiful Low Wood Bay hotel. The hotel is situated on the edge of Lake Windermere, with stunning views of the Lake District. James and Fliss tied the knot at a nearby church in Troutbeck set deep in the hills of the Lake District.

Fliss started the day getting ready in the bridal sweet at the Low Wood Bay Hotel. In the company of her bridesmaids the room was full of fun and laughter from the start. A champagne breakfast to start before hair and make up started. The room overlooking Windermere was gorgeous and a the perfect start to the day. James was getting ready just along the hall with his groomsmen, anxiously awaiting to meet his stunning bride a few hours later at the gorgeous Jesus church located just a few miles away in Troutbeck.

Fliss travelled to the church in a gorgeous classic wedding car with her very proud father by her side. Upon her arrival her bridesmaids were eagerly waiting outside the church. Fliss entered the church to meet James waiting at the alter, the service was one of emotion, love and of course laughter. Fliss and James both said their vows to each other before exchanging rings and sealing their marriage. Upon making their way out of the church, they were showered in confetti. We took the opportunity to do some family portraits outside of the church, before moving the guests back to the Low Wood Bay hotel for a drinks reception. I used this opportunity to take the James and Fliss off to shoot some couple portraits. We headed of to a spot not far away which involved James and Fliss rowing out on to the lake.

We arrived back in time for the end of drinks and the wedding breakfast. Fliss and James entered the room to huge amounts of applause. Speeches then took place, with some great stories and memories being shared. After dinner the whole wedding party headed out to board a river cruise organised by the couple. We arrived back after the cruise to capture some stunning sunset images before heading in for cake cutting, one amazing first dance and lots of partying!

A huge congratulations to James and Fliss and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day!
