Charlie & Stuart
The wedding of Charlie and Stuart was a beautifully unique and memorable day at the quirky Brooklands Museum. I joined proceedings in the afternoon, as the pair got ready.
Charlie got ready with her bridesmaids at the gorgeous Brooklands Hotel. With hair and make up done, the final touches were added to Charlie’s vintage inspired gown. Cloth buttons, lace detailing and an exquisitely beaded top made for a glamorous and sophisticated look.
Meanwhile, at the venue, Stuart popped on his cufflinks and donned a waistcoat and tie to fit the arty aesthetic. Guests began to arrive in an array of vehicles and gradually assembled in the wonderfully sunny and retro Concorde Room.
Patiently, we waited for the bride’s arrival in a cream classic car. Charlie graced the room and was met with smiles and excitement, before taking her place next to Stuart. Together, they shared their vows and exchanged rings and a kiss.
After the ceremony and a refreshing glass, I stole the couple away for some beautifully sunny shots around the venue. Classic cars, Concorde and an old race circuit played backdrop for the ecstatic couple and their beaming families.
Later, a delicious meal was enjoyed by all and speeches entertained the guests as the sun began to fall. We had just enough time for a relaxed stroll around the venue before heading back for the big event – the first dance!
Charlie and Stuart’s families joined the couple on the dance floor and an evening of smiles, laugh and boogying commenced.
What I loved about Charlie and Stuart’s wedding was the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, the gorgeously warm weather and the brilliant venue. For such a great couple, the venue was perfectly unique and stunning. The photos are some of the most unusual I’ve ever shot – it was a privilege to have such wonderful settings to work with. Of course, Charlie and Stuarts smiles say it all!
